Brox had a Caterpillar loader in need of a replacement radiator core. The unit had been overheating due to plugging caused by age and operating conditions. These heavy duty radiators stand up to some rough work.

Often what affects them most is the "branch water" which was put in on an emergency basis to "get the job done" - an all-too-common practice. That was not the case here, however.

This radiator core had tube to header leaks in both the top and bottom header plates. The leaks were the result of extreme vibration during severe working conditions over many years of hard use.

Although sometimes just a minor change in the maintenance schedule can make a big difference in the longevity of the radiator core - this radiator was just worn out.
